Monday 24 March
Unibond Premier Guiseley 0-0 Stamford This was a case of two valuable points lost rather than a point gained as Guiseley failed to find a way past a Stamford side hovering just above the relegation zone. Guiseley drop one place to fifth in what is looking increasingly like a six horse race as Marine suffered a 6-0 reverse at the hands of Kendal Town. The best openings of the first half came fthrough Jonathan Fernandez free kick which James Cotterill headed narrowly over and Danny Ellis also hit the bar from twenty yards. The second period saw James Hanson head wide from another Fernandez cross and Damien Dunne had a shot parried by Chris Sanna which cannoned off Graham Bowater but straight back into the fortunate keepers arms. Substitute Aron Wilford also missed a golden opportunity at the far post from another Fernandez cross/ Kevin Byrne proved lively for the visitors and got the better of Nathan Hay early in the first half to create an opening for himself which then wasted. the same player also had a good chance in the second half but shot straight at the advancing Skiba as the keeper narrowed the gap. Apart from these opportunities neither keeper was seriously bothered by two teams devoid of the guile to create any clear cut openings for themselves.
